Play pretend as a hummingbird or other type of bird with a colorful feather mask.

What you will need:

·          A paper plate

·          Scissors

·          Two rubber bands

·          Colored craft feathers

·          Glue

·          Colored markers

Activity Instructions

1. Cut the paper place in half, hold the paper plate up to your face and draw dots where the center of your eyes are. Put the paper plate down and draw eye shapes around the dots that you drew.

2. Now draw a shape like two wings around your eye holes.

3. Cut out your eye holes and your mask shape. Make sure the eye holes are big enough to comfortably see out of.

4. Poke a hole on the right side of the mask. Put a rubber band half way through the hole. Put the right end of the rubber band through the left end and pull the right end. Repeat for the other side. Wrap rubber bands around ears to wear your mask.

5. Use markers, feathers, and glue to decorate!

You may want to wear your hummingbird mask while you play the Hummingbird Migration Game or sing Beak, Shoulders, Wings, and Tail.
