Conservation Workdays

Every third Saturday of the month, September-April (excluding December), 8am-noon

Looking for a way to make a difference? Sign up for our Conservation Workdays at the Rio Salado Habitat and get your hands dirty to benefit wildlife! Help prepare a pollinator garden, clean up the river bed, create bird habitat, remove invasive plants. No experience necessary! Great for individuals and groups. Weekly Saturday Morning Bird Walks

Saturdays, 8am - 9am, weekly, weather permitting, during the spring and fall.

Join one of our resident bird enthusiast for a relaxed birding foray into the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area.  All ages are welcome and loaner binoculars are available. 

Birders will meet in the WEST side parking lot of the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center (3131 S. Central Ave).

Bird Classes with Kathe Anderson

Looking for a little more out of a Bird Walk?

Kathe Anderson will be doing bird walks here at Audubon Arizona, offering a more in depth look at certain birds in our area.  You won't want to miss this!

March 26:
7am: Early Bird Special on-site bird walk
8:30 - 9:30am: Hummingbird program (Includes a 30-minute DVD)

April 9:
7am: Early Bird Special on-site bird walk
8:30 - 9:30am:  Desert Dozen: A class focusing on common birds of the desert/urban interface - quail, grackles, house sparrows and house finches, mockingbirds, mourning doves, and more! This is a great chance to learn some uncommon facts about these common birds.
