Are you a golfer who loves birds? Or a birder who loves golf?
Whether it’s one or the other, both, or neither, Birdies for Charity is a way for anyone to support birds – and Arizona’s school children. Audubon’s Urban Hummingbird Program teaches students how to identify hummingbirds, help them with native plants, and participate in kid-friendly citizen science projects. The schools also receive a Hummingbird Kit with a feeder and classroom activities. Every donation helps keep this program running free to schools.
If you pledge to Birdies for Charity, it means you’re making a donation for all the birdies made by PGA Tour professionals during the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open, which averages 1,500 birdies over the course of the event. 1¢ per birdie = $15 donation. Count the birdies, support the birds, and make a pledge today at birdiesforcharityaz.com. Remember to select Audubon Arizona as your charity!
