Sonia Perillo joined Audubon Arizona as the Vice President and Executive Director in 2016, following nearly 20 years of work in land conservation in North Carolina and Arizona. An Indiana native, she has a B.S. in Wildlife Science from Purdue University. Her roots in Arizona go back to her riparian habitat restoration work for the Colorado River Indian Tribes during college. In addition to her work with Audubon, she is also the President of the Environmental Fund for Arizona, Vice Chair of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits, and serves on the management board of the Sonoran Joint Venture. Sonia, her husband Adam, and their daughter Sophie moved to Phoenix in 2008, and they have been enjoying the sights, sounds, and birds of the West ever since.
